RIQAS - External Quality Assessment (EQA) Program

RIQAS is the largest global EQA scheme. It is used by 20,000 laboratories worldwide, participating in a variety of programmes. RIQAS is accredited to a number of internationally recognised standards.

  1. Samples are custom-manufactured to be both stable and similar to human samples.
  2. Participants receive all samples at the start of the cycle (apart from Haematology).
  3. Each cycle covers the clinically relevant concentration ranges.
  4. Samples are analysed on the recommended date or at any point during each reporting period.
  5.  RIQASNet allows participants to return results and view reports online.
  6. Option for presenting reports in PDF (portable document format) offering easy review and storage of laboratory EQA data.
  7. RIQAS E-transfer software option available for participants wishing to submit and receive results via email.

RIQAS reports:

  1. One page report for each parameter.
  2. Statistical breakdown by all methods, your method and your instrument.
  3. Compare with different groups using a histogram.
  4. Identify problems using a Levey-Jennings chart.

Target score chart grades your performance in a moving window over the last 20 samples.
